Messing With Photoshop!

I finally got the time to get a mini photoshot in with Marcus. I had a run away baby most of the time since he is crawling now. But I got a few cute shots. I'd call it a sucess.

I have been trying to find a style in photoshop so the photoshop style of these are all over the place.









After seeing them all together. I like the first photos editing the best out of the set. so it looks like I don't like the super light photos after all. I like them bright but not overly bright. I think I'm going to go and re-photoshop the second one because I like that picture and am not happy with the photoshoping.

I got a new lens... Tamron 28-75 f/2.8

But I've been in a photography rut lately. Marcus wont look at me and I'm tired of trying to chase him around and get an in focus picture. All my shots are mom shots lately. So I started taking pictures of our cats. And the ONLY cat (out of 4) that would pose for me was Kiwi. Even our cats hate pictures.




I plan to set up a portrait session this weekend and hopefully get a few of Marcus.

First Post!!!

I'm starting this blog so I can keep track of how my photography skills are improving. This blog will eventually convert to my skill building blog, then portfolio building blog then probably my professional blog. I might start a new one by then though. I'm shooting in full manual, and have been for a while. My first photos after I got my camera were horrible, I wish I would have had a blog then.

I still have ALOT to learn and I'm learning new things every day. I think with photography you'll always be learning though. My goal is to eventually do the 365 project ( a picture a day for 365 days).

And to start off my blog a picture of my main subject: Marcus Dean :) I love this little guy SO much! Too bad he doesn't love the camera, its hard to get him to look at the camera these days.
